Student self-government
Student self-government is a component of public self-government, which guarantees the protection of the rights and interests of people studying at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University, ensures their participation in the management of the institution. This concept also refers to the independent social activities of students to implement the functions of faculty management, which is carried out by students in accordance with the goals and objectives of the student body. Self-government functions in order to ensure that students fulfill their responsibilities and protect their rights, promotes the harmonious development of the student’s personality, the formation of the skills of the future organizer.
Student self-government is an initiative, independent and responsible joint activity of students who are not indifferent to their own lives, aimed at solving any issues of life: from organizing holidays and deciding whom of the fellow students must be encouraged or punished to control the distribution of scholarships, coordination of curriculum.
Students who study at the Faculty of Foreign Languages are involved in student self-government, all of them have an equal right to participate in it. Student self-government at the Faculty of Foreign Languages is carried out directly by our students or through student self-government bodies elected by secret ballot.
